In 2001, Uri Minkoff, seeing a need for superlative quality software consulting services, started Fortis Software. Minkoff sits on the Board of three healthcare companies he founded, in addition to sitting on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. Minkoff is also a Member of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and was named a member of the "Who's Who" in Tampa Bay by the Tampa Bay Business Journal for 2003. Minkoff brings proven abilities in leadership, vision and client servicing to his role at Fortis.
Sometimes accused of being a "serial entrepreneur" by his friends, Fortis was not Minkoff's first business endeavor. In 1997, Minkoff saw a need in the healthcare industry in his community. He opened a medical health center which specialized in complementary and conventional care. This facility, along with the Home Nursing company he acquired (at the age of 22), expanded rapidly and quickly began to service patients from all over the globe. The businesses moved three times in as many years to cope with the tremendous expansion.
Again in 2000, Minkoff opened another company which specializes in selling high-end nutritional supplements to other health-care practitioners. This company also experienced success, selling to over 700 doctors across the United States. Through 2001 these three entities, with Minkoff as the CEO, grew from virtually nothing to a multi-million dollar enterprise employing over 125 staff and servicing hundreds of doctors and patients each week. The businesses continue their success today.

Kevin Breton
VP of Engineering/Software Development Manager
Kevin Breton joined the Fortis Software team in 2004. His focus is on software strategy and quality software deliveries to clients. He continues to use his vast experience to collaborate with his team as they conceive, invent, code and then improve quality issues that ultimately refine the software development lifecycle.
At Fortis, Kevin leads his hand-picked creative team that is responsible for the success Fortis has brought to its services clients. These continue to be software ISV's, e-Commerce Websites and entrepreneurs who depend on Fortis both for technical quality and creative innovation to keep them ahead of the game.
While at Fortis, some of Kevin’s solutions have centered around wi-fi communication, security applications for anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-phishing attacks, functionality improvements to Microsoft Outlook and internet commerce web sites. Prior to Fortis, Kevin enjoyed a successful career in the semiconductor industry focusing on multimillion dollar software systems that are required to run 24x7. The customers included Intel, Motorola, Samsung, Philips, etc. Other experiences have focused on enhanced internet-based applications. Kevin has a proven track record of managing every part of the software life cycle, from leading Program Managers, to Developers, to QA. He is more than just a Software Development Manger, as his focus has been on Software Architecture.
